We reported last February that CREDO member Ted Tsukahara was named “Professor of the Year” at Saint Mary’s College of California. Some weeks ago, he was finally awarded that honor, after which he gave a special lecture. Below is the video of the lecture.
In a communication from Ted to us, he stated:
The last part of the talk is the message where I relate to the campus, a reminder of the charism of the Brothers and how the new Administration needs to focus on what has made SMC different (at least for me). I am not sure if I had told anyone that I am an Affiliate of the Brothers of the Christian Schools that means they have invited me to become a “Brother”. It is an honor I treasure. Also, I was the keynote speaker last Saturday for the Commencement ceremonies at Dharma Realm Buddhist University. They are a small place that melds Buddhist texts with Great Books. I helped in the design of the curriculum with Great Books.Lastly, I will retire from the SMC faculty at the end of this calendar year.
We congratulate Ted and wish him all the best for the future.
